Rory Gunderson is a photographer and writer based in Brooklyn, NY. His work often focuses on the intersection between food and the natural world. He is a regular contributor to Wilder Quarterly, a contemporary gardening and lifestyle publication, and its blog WilderQuarterly.com. He photographs a recurrent feature story for Brooklyn Magazine called "Market to Plate," which follows a local chef from their favorite food markets to the completion of a dish at their restaurant. New York City restaurants he has covered include Roberta's, Colonie, Traif, Vinegar Hill House and Seersucker among others.
